WebIt is unlikely there will ever be a pve only mode. Sea of Thieves is fundamentally a pvp game and the game is not designed to stand on its pve content alone. The pve content primarily exists to contextualize the pvp gameplay, not the other way around. Treasure does not exist as a means of giving players something to do. WebShort answer: YES. Do it. Long answer: Solo is obviously a hard way to play PvP, because even if you're good, you're usually not better than three or four normal players, or two or three good players.
