Lbs , is it best to stay in the middle of that range or stay up towards the top of the range . 14-21 is or seems to be a big difference . Keep in mind this is the one for the 2007 modeles .

The first time I changed fluids, the derby cover gave me a little trouble too, though not like the problem it gave the OP. I do *NOT* use loctite on those screws and I do *NOT* torque them to specs. The first time I changed fluids, I tightened those screws down ...
