Web22 feb. 2024 · Multiplanar reconstruction images showed IOFBs in all 22 patients. IOFBs occurred in the eyeball of 14 patients, in the wall of the eyeball of 5 patients and in the posterior orbits of 3 patients. Different surgical procedures were designed according to the localization by this new method and all IOFBs were successfully removed. The most common site of entry was in the cornea (13 cases, 76 %) and sclera (4 cases, 24 %). Of the 4 cases where the entry site was not identified, three patients had delayed presentation, and in 1 patient, primary evisceration was performed.
