WebEccrine poroma was first described in 1956. 1 It is a rare benign adnexal tumour which arises from sweat glands of eccrine origin. It tends to present as a non-pigmented lesion, typically found on acral sites such as the soles and palms. It is more prevalent in the 40–60 years old age group, with no gender preference. WebJul 3, 2007 · Most cells in our case are poroma cells and lack nuclear atypia, invasive, asymmetric growth patterns. With regard to the dermoscopic findings of poroma, Altamura et al. (8) have recently reported polymorphous vascular patterns in eccrine poroma, as seen in our case. Clinically our case has a close resemblance to basal cell carcinoma.
